DAYTON, OHIO  –  The latest sign of Dayton’s revitalization is the opening of Bricker & Eckler LLP’s newest office location at 312 N. Patterson Blvd, Suite 200, in the Water Street District in downtown Dayton.

A leading Ohio law firm with five other locations throughout the state, Bricker & Eckler represents a wide variety of clients, including hospitals and health systems, banks, insurers, energy clients, school districts, municipalities and economic development organizations.

“Opening a Dayton office is a natural progression for our firm with so many clients here and our close involvement with the economic growth of this region,” said Shannon Martin, a partner in Bricker’s new Dayton location. “We are excited to be joining other local businesses in rebuilding Dayton’s commercial center.  This is an important symbol of the region’s growing prosperity.”

Bricker & Eckler has served clients in the Southwest Ohio market for more than a decade. The firm’s commitment to the region’s revitalization efforts makes this an opportune time for expansion into the heart of the city.

“We are thrilled to have Bricker select downtown Dayton for its newest location,” said Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley. “We look forward to building a strong partnership with the firm and its attorneys as they continue to add to the vibrancy of the river corridor.”

The firm’s Managing Partner Kurt Tunnell expressed the importance of the Dayton office to the firm’s presence in southwest Ohio.  “Dayton has always been a source of innovation and industry, and our clients see great opportunity for economic development and growth in the region today,” he said.  “We expect our strong foundation of clients in Dayton and the I-75 corridor to become even more important to the firm in the years ahead.”

Key practices for the firm in Dayton include health care, education, and public finance/economic development. The office will initially include seven attorneys in various practice areas: Shannon Martin, health care, public finance and real estate; Janet Cooper, education law; Kate Davis, education law; Beverly Meyer, education, employment and labor law; Mark Engel, tax and economic development; and David Lampe, education law.

An open house event is planned for May 11.
